Body contouring is a non-invasive procedure used to reduce the number of fat cells in order to give you a lean appearance. The results from body contouring treatments can be noticed within the first six weeks following treatment, however the final results will not be noticeable until around three months.
Did You Know?
When you lose weight, you are reducing the size of your fat cells. However, the number of fat cells does not change. This is why some people struggle to lose weight in certain areas. Body contouring procedures, on the other hand, help to reduce the total number of fat cells to eliminate fat from these stubborn areas.
Excess Skin or Fat? Try Body Contouring!
Body contouring treatment works well on those who have lost weight rapidly and have excess skin and fat. Body contouring treatment is also effective on stubborn fat deposits, such as love-handles.
SculpSure®
SculpSure® uses laser energy to heat and disrupt fat cells without damaging other cells. This approach works well to eliminate localized, superficial fat bulges.
truSculpt® iD
Like SculpSure®, truSculpt® iD uses heat to destroy fat cells. However, truSculpt® iD can also improve skin texture and tone, as well as reduce the appearance of cellulite. This is because it uses RF energy instead of laser energy.
Viora Reaction™
Reaction™ delivers RF energy to the subcutaneous layers to heat skin tissues contributing to cellulite. Cellulite forms when enlarged fat cells push against the bands of tissue that separate skin and fat known as septae. RF energy helps to enhance the elasticity of the septae in order to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
What to Expect
Body contouring treatments are performed in our office without the need for anesthesia
After determining what areas need to be treated, an applicator will be placed and used to deliver the treatment.
Although body contouring procedures are usually not painful, some people report feeling warmth and/or tingling during the procedure. In most cases, treatment only lasts about 15-25 minutes, depending on the type of body contouring treatment and the area being treated.
A minimum of two treatment sessions spaced a few weeks apart is recommended for the best results.
