Sinus Conditions We Treat

Sinus Conditions Treated

Allergies occur when the immune system overreacts to a foreign substance. Allergy symptoms can include sneezing, nasal congestion, wheezing, or runny nose.

Sinusitis is an inflammation of the tissue that lines the inside of the sinuses. It can cause headache, facial pain, runny nose, and nasal congestion.

Sinus headaches can occur when clogged sinuses cause pain and pressure above the nose and between the eyes. Pain often gets worse when moving or lying down, and is accompanied by other sinusitis symptoms.

Chronic sinusitis is a sinus infection that lasts 12 weeks or longer. It can cause congestion, pus in the nasal cavity, fever, headaches, bad breath, and tooth pain.

Balloon Sinuplasty is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat chronic sinusitis. This procedure is performed by inserting a small sinus balloon catheter into the sinus passages and then slowly inflating the balloon to widen these passages.

Nasal polyps are noncancerous growths of mucosal tissue that form on the inside of your nose as a result of chronic inflammation and/or irritation. When nasal polyps grow large enough, they can impede airflow and make your nose feel stuffed.

Nasal congestion is sometimes referred to as a stuffy nose and is also characterized by sinus pain, mucus buildup in the nose, swollen nasal tissue, and a runny nose.

Postnasal drip occurs when secretions from the nose drain backwards down into the throat. This can cause congestion, cough, and sore throat.

Your septum is a piece of cartilage that separates the two nostrils. When the septum is not positioned properly, it can obstruct one or both of the nostrils.

A nasal fracture is a break in the septum that separates the two nostrils.

A nose fracture is a break in the bone and/or cartilage over the bridge of the nose.

Snoring and sleep apnea can both be caused by chronic sinusitis, since this causes a blockage in the nasal passages.

Taste and smell disorders can cause you to partially or completely lose your ability to taste and smell. In some cases, they can also cause flavors to be distorted.
