Revision rhinoplasty is a specialized type of rhinoplasty that is performed in cases where an individual is not satisfied with their initial rhinoplasty results. Potential reasons for having a revision rhinoplasty include: not achieving the desired degree of correction during the initial procedure, the nose did not heal properly, or to correct the work of a previous surgeon. Since there is a buildup of scar tissue and limited cartilage, revision rhinoplasty is often a more complicated procedure than the initial rhinoplasty.

What can I expect?
Our doctors begin with a consultation and physical examination, during which you will outline your cosmetic goals in detail, aided by real before and virtual after photos.
Rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure, performed under general anesthesia.
There are two main techniques:
A closed procedure: In this approach, incisions are hidden inside the nose.
An open procedure: In this approach, one incision is made across the tissue that connects the tip of the nose to the base. Although the incision is on the outside, it heals well and is not visible after full recovery.

Recovery Process
- Moderate bruising and swelling around eyes and nose for up to two weeks
- May require prescribed pain medication for first 2-4 days, but more comfortable after 4th day.
- Nasal splint to support the nose for 7-10 days
- Low-intensity exercise allowed after 2 weeks.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 3-4 weeks. Normal exercise after 6 weeks, but avoid risky sports for a full year.
