As of July 1, 2021, Anne Arundel Ear Nose & Throat (AAENT) has officially merged with Severn River Ear Nose & Throat (SRENT). Our goal is to achieve our vision of enhancing and expanding access to our services. Dr. Robert Meek, the medical director at AAENT, and Dr. Lee Kleiman, the medical director of SRENT, have found from years of collaborating together, that they share the same philosophy of care and high standards of skill and excellence in each of their surgical practices. Their common focus is on quality and compassionate care. In fact, the two doctors have long been respected colleagues and friends of one another and have been partners at the Arundel Ambulatory Surgical Center for over 20 years.
As a combined practice, Dr. Brandon Wachal was the first addition to our group in August 2021. Dr. Wachal earned his Medical Degree and completed his Residency Training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and completed a prestigious fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with Dr. Michael Godin in conjunction with Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital.
In September 2023, Dr. Emily Drury relocated from Michigan to join our practice. Dr. Drury attended medical school at A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Michigan State University/ Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital.
Ultimately, we see this as an opportunity to improve our facilities and processes and to offer more flexibility, more resources, and the best care to our patients. The same healthcare professionals and staff at both offices will continue as part of the combined team, and we have made it a top priority to continue to make this transition as seamless as is possible for all of our patients. We look forward to continuing to provide patients with the same excellent care. Thank you in advance for your patience, and please call us if you have any questions along the way!
